Lens categories:

Glasses are categorized by light transmission. All Zeiss lenses offer protection from UVA and UVB rays up to 400nm wavelengths. The VLT (Visible Light Transmission) percentage indicates how much light passes through the lenses.

• Category 3: Lets 8-18% of light through. Excellent for bright sunlight. Colors appear as they are. Ideal for street, road, and mountain biking, mountain conditions, snowy environments, and at sea.

• Category 2: Lets 18-43% of light through. A versatile option for sunny and variable weather. Eliminates blue and violet light. Improves depth perception and contrast, making it perfect for fast sports and situations where distance judgement is needed. Suitable for road and mountain biking, skiing, and golf.

• Category 1: Lets 43-80% of light through. Ideal for cloudy or rainy days. Excellent for autumn and winter when light is low but distracting. These lenses help to distinguish variations in terrain and light-shadow contrasts that are hard to see with the naked eye.
