Hultafors WETTERHALL Throwing Axe HB KY-1,6

This kind of double bit axe was originally used by lumberjacks, who benefitted from the possibility of always having a sharp axe around. While using one edge for rough work, they could be more careful with the other. Today it is primarily employed in throwing competitions. This axe has been named after Hults Bruk enthusiast Bo Wetterhall, the person who has served at Hults Bruk longer than anyone else. Like all Hultafors axes, the Wetterhall Throwing Axe is hand forged and made from Swedish quality steel. As part of the head-forging process, the steel axe head is struck 40 – 60 times, thereby increasing its density and resulting in great durability.
