This DAC Pressfit tent pole segment with a diameter of 11.1 mm can be attached to other segments on both ends. Perfect for your tent projects or as a replacement for DAC Pressfit tent poles.

How to find the right tent pole segment

A replacement segment must match the old one in series, diameter and type. Check these five things in order.

1. Measure the diameter

Use a caliper to measure the outer diameter of the middle of the segment. Do not measure the wide end or the insert – they are thicker or thinner than the middle. For example, an NSL 9 mm segment has a 9.5 mm wide end and an 8.3 mm insert.

2. Identify the series

*The colour applies to the segments sold in our shop; a tent maker may use a different colour. NFL and NSL segments are not compatible with each other, even when the diameter is similar.

3. Centre piece or end piece

Centre piece – connects to other segments at both ends.
End piece – the last segment of the pole: it connects to other segments at one end only; the other end is cut thinner to take an end cap or lock tip.

4. Insert or insert entry

Insert – the thinner silver tube end that slides into the next segment.
Insert entry – the wider end of a segment that takes the insert of the previous segment.

A standard centre piece has an insert at one end and an insert entry at the other. NFL also comes as centre pieces with 2 inserts and with 2 insert entries – choose the same as your old segment. Pressfit and Easton segments are available with or without insert.

5. Length

Measure the segment length without the insert – this is how lengths are given on our product pages (e.g. NSL centre piece: 40 cm without insert, 43 cm with insert).

Accessories

Pole segments are held together by shock cord – we sell 3 mm shock cord by the metre.
DAC Swivel-Q (11295) connects two crossing poles. Fits NSL 9.5, 10.25 and 10.9 mm and Pressfit 10.2 and 11.1 mm poles.
EASTON® angle connectors 90° and 115° are for 8.6 mm aluminium poles.
