Carbide blades

• Place the knife in the sharpener at a 90-degree angle
• Pull the blade straight back
• Repeat until the desired result is achieved

Diamond stone

• The Fine diamond stone is for general-purpose sharpening of somewhat sharper cutting edges
• Push the blade away from you using moderate pressure
• Repeat the action
• Try to hold the blade at the same angle every time
• When sharpening the other side of the blade, repeat the same action, pulling the blade in the opposite direction, i.e. toward you
• Repeat until the desired result is achieved

Ceramic rods

• Place the blade in the stone slot at the desired sharpening angle
• Push the blade lightly away from you using moderate pressure and let the stone do the work
• Repeat until the desired result is achieved
• To sharpen the other side, repeat the action in the opposite direction
• Repeat until the desired result is achieved

Sharpening hooks

• Place the hook in the groove and move it back and forth until it is sharp enough
• For the best sharpness of the cutting edge, use the edge of the ceramic stone and the diamond sharpener
