What is RED?

In short: Red Paddle Co is a maker specialising in inflatable stand up paddle boards (SUPs), with an idea that dates back to 2008. According to the manufacturer, its boards take 20-25 psi, while many other brands handle up to 15 psi. Water sports gear is in the shop and for rent.

What is Red Paddle Co?

Picture the scene: the sun is setting, the weather is warm and crystal clear water shimmers around you. You are with friends, far from the crowds. With an inflatable SUP board you can go where you want, when you want. The board fits in a bag that you can carry on your back, or take in the car or on a plane. When you arrive, you open the bag, inflate the board and head out on the water.

How did Red Paddle Co start?

The idea was born in 2008, when paddle boarding was just gaining momentum. The founders thought it could be better with inflatable boards. Back then many did not believe an inflatable board could be made strong enough to compare with a rigid one. People imagined a flexible air cushion. Over time that opinion has changed and inflatable boards are now respected.

From the beginning the company has worked to a two-part mantra:
